Lilia stood behind a large desk, fixing her hair while staring blankly at the wall across from her.
"Excuse me, but I've got a prescription. Can you help me?"
She snapped out of her trance and relised that a large middle-age man was talking to her. He handed her a small piece of paper with alot of information on it. She looked round at the shelves behind her a took out a small, white box and handed it to the man.
"Okay, sir, take two of these after every meal time and before you go to bed. Do this a month, and if you run out then you can go to your local pharmacy. Okay?"
The man looked at her and took out his wallet. "How much is this going to cost me now?"
"Oh, it's all with the final bill. Have a nice day!" She said cheerily as the man rolled his eyes and walked away. Lilia sighed and walked through a door into a large room with rows of boxes full of medicine. She walked over to a girl who was slightly younger than her, reading a book.
"Are you planning on helping me at any time?"
The girl had long red hair and clear blue eyes. This was Alice, Lilia's intern. Alice was meant to be learning about all the different medicines for each thing, but she preferred to just sit and do nothing.
"Oh, I was just coming out in a minute. I'm just finishing this chapter." Lilia grabbed the book and slammed it shut. Alice swore at her and stood up. Lilia's pager started to beep. She looked at it quickly and grabbed four boxes of Naramig ((well, it's the only medicine that I can think of at the moment, lol)) and handed them to her.
"Alice, run up to Neurology and give these to Dr. Todd." The girl rolled her eyes and walked out of the room and down the corridor. Lilia shook her head, but heard someone at the front again. She walked out and found an old woman and a young boy standing there.
"Here, my grandmother need this." The boy said, handing her a prescription. She took out a long box, and handed it to the boy.
"She needs to take this every morning, with her breakfast. Is that okay?"
The boy took out her grandmother's purse and handed Lilia $20. Lilia went over to the till and took out the change. She handed it to the boy, who smiled and walked away with his grandmother. Lilia sat down on a small chair beside the desk and tried to get some energy back. It wasn't easy, trying to remember every single medicine stocked in the hospital.
